Join us for JTF West 2026!

 

Opening Night Theater is returning to Sacramento for JTF West in 2026! The Junior Theater Festival experience is unlike any other, challenging our dedicated, talented young actors, singers, and dancers in new and unique ways that push them to perform at their highest potential. Our JTF programs have produced strong, lasting friendships that foster a sense of teamwork, trust, and collaboration. Each troupe performs a 15-minute routine from a Broadway Junior title, adjudicated by a panel of musical theatre professionals. The entire experience culminates in a weekend of musical theatre workshops, Broadway level performances and concerts, and lifelong memories. This is considered to be an advanced performance troupe.

Ages: Grades 5-12 (as of fall 2025)

Rehearsal Dates (subject to change): Auditions will be held in early June 2025, with weekly Saturday morning rehearsals beginning in August.

Travel Dates: February 5th-9th, 2026.

Program Cost Based on Previous Years (subject to change):

Students - $2600. Chaperones - $1,400.

*Opening Night Theater is currently looking for corporate and individual sponsors to help offset costs for families while allowing us to offer scholarships for participants.

*Payments are made in monthly installments.

*Each team member will be given their own "send me to JTF" fundraising page to drum up support and offset their individual costs.
